Megla News Desk: The training session of ISSA Bangladesh National Congress 2021 has started with agriculture and related students across the country. The 11-day Congress will end on August 31.

Mezbanur Rahman Lemon, Head of Emergency of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, was the mentor on the first day of the four-day training session of the National Congress, which began on Saturday (August 21st). According to the organizers, ISSA Bangladesh National Congress is organized for the country’s agriculture and related students. The 2nd session of the National Congress is being held this year. The theme of this year’s event is ‘Agriculture and Related Issues with Sustainable Development Goals’.

The training sessions are designed to give students an idea of ​​how modern technological agriculture can be made sustainable. At the end of each session there is a quiz competition for the students. In addition, there is a competition system for the students to use their knowledge about agriculture. Where they can also prove their knowledge of agriculture and budgeting skills. Four different topics will be discussed in the four-part training session. Hundreds of students from all over the country will be participating and mentors will be the best teachers, researchers, graduates and many other eminent personalities who are making outstanding contributions to the agricultural sector of the country from their positions.

Today is the second day of the session, Professor of Horticulture, Bangladesh Agricultural University. Azizur Rahman. He will discuss with students on sustainable development goals and agricultural involvement.

On the 3rd and 4th day of the session, Professor Dr. Department of Aquaculture, Bangladesh Agricultural University. Md. Abdus Salam and Khulna University Professor of Agrotechnology Discipline. Sardar Shafiqul Islam. They will discuss with students how fisheries and animal resources are linked to sustainable development goals.

In addition to the four-day training session, the Emerging Youth Award will be a competition and special attraction to showcase budget skills; Where those who have successfully led research in university life and volunteered with various organizations will be rewarded. In addition, there is a special quiz episode at the end of each session through which the participants will get special prizes.

The International Association of Students in Agriculture and Related Sciences (YASS) started its journey in Bangladesh in 2016. With a total of 11 local committees, Yash Bangladesh set foot in five years.
